WASHINGTON Air Max 90 Sale , July 19 (Xinhua) -- Doris Payne, an 86-year-old notorious international jewel thief, was arrested on Monday for attempting to steal items worth 86.22 U.S. dollars from a Walmart store in the U.S. city of Chamblee, local police said.
The arrest took place at around 5 p.m. local time (2200 GMT) on Monday.
Payne was seen by a Walmart employee snap up items in the pharmacy, electronics and grocery departments Air Max Sale , and put some in her purse, a Walmart shopping bag and a cart, according to a police report.
However, Payne only paid for the items in the cart but not stuff she had kept in her purse and the bag at the checkout.
Payne was stopped and arrested by an off-duty police officer notified by a shore employee, after she tried to leave the scene with unpaid goods.
The police said Payne was booked into a city jail with an electronic ankle monitor placed by a probation office. All of the items she had tried to shoplifted have been returned to the store.
Payne's attorney said this time is different from her previous cases because she did not steal high-end jewelry.

Dubbed "world-renowned jewelry theft," Payne has been arrested for about 20 times in several different countries.

In a 2013 documentary film, Payne bragged of stealing jewelry worth at least 2 million dollars.

UNITED NATIONS, April 18 (Xinhua) -- As the international community narrows its focus on the war-torn countries making up the continent of Africa Nike Air Max 90 Shoes Sale , Carlos Lopes, the executive secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), tried to work through Xinhua to draw global attention to the African continent's economic potential.
In a recent interview with Xinhua, Lopes described the UN commission for Africa as a "think tank," saying that its " contribution is mostly about policy recommendations and doing studies and research that are helpful for personalizing policies."
In the latest Economic Report on Africa released here last week Nike Air Max Shoes Sale , the African Union (AU) and UNECA presented their 11-country assessment in an in-depth case study. The study presented in the report, articulated the critical ingredients needed for the continent to spur structural transformation and industrialization.
Established by the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) in 1958 as one of the UN's five regional commissions, UNECA's mandate is to promote the economic and social development of its member States, foster intra-regional integration, and promote international cooperation for Africa's development.

"Normally these reports take a year to produce" because "they are very thorough and they are also based on direct research done on the ground not just desk reviews," he said.
"The countries (in the report) are selected on the basis that they can bring to bear the diversity of the continent," he said.
"We know that Africa has different types of economic sizes but also economic compositions of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) Air Max 2017 Shoes Sale ," he said.
As of right now, UNECA looks at different types of country make up to enhance their understanding of varying economic climates, he said.
The UN Commission looks at "what has happened and what has not happened," because "the typology is important," he said.
