Ryan will most likely meet up with the national squad this week as the side prepares for the Fiji Water Centennial International sevens, according to the government-owned Fiji Broadcasting Corporation.
The Fiji Times newspaper reported that the Fiji Rugby Union (FRU) is optimistic of the International Rugby Union's support in helping fund the pay for the newly-appointed coach.
The former England sevens coach, who has been appointed to guide the Fiji sevens team for three years, is likely to be paid a substantial amount for his services.
FRU chairman Filimone Waqabaca said consultations between Rugby House and the international body was ongoing.
